The Psi Chapter hosted an outstandingly successful Rush Week this year
that yielded an incredible group of young men for our chapter. We hosted
hockey in the parking lot, Mini Golf in Cortland, NFL playoffs at Buffalo
Wild Wings and even a trip to Turning Stone Casino! From a brotherhood
perspective, Rush Week was a great time for all of us to bond. It facilitated
group cooperation to achieve a common goal of replacing ourselves and
consequently made us closer as brothers. Rush looked auspicious right
from the get-go as we noticed many familiar faces coming back to the
house. We welcomed approximately 70 prospective gentlemen in the early
days of Rush. When the dust settled, we had pinned 27 new members, our
largest pledge class on record! Following pinning, the Psi chapter initiated
all 27 as our new brothers. Our new members hail from all over the United
States and across the globe; from states as diverse as Nebraska and
Florida and countries as unique as Mexico, South Africa, Mauritius and
Japan. Rush saw a strong Zeta Psi family connection, as the Psi chapter is
happy to announce the initiation of Ryan Lee ‘20, son of Tommy Lee ’91,
proving that while the chapter may change, brotherhood is forever. All in
all, 2017 has been a phenomenal year for rush and the Psi Chapter as a
whole and we look forward to building on our momentum for next school
year.
