The Psi Elders Association is thrilled to announce that we have been selected to host Zeta Psi’s 171st Annual Convention in Ithaca, scheduled to take place August 15-18, 2018. We submitted a bid to host the 2018 Convention as a way to honor and celebrate the Psi Chapter’s 150th anniversary. If you have never been to a convention before, THIS is the one to come to, to reunite with all of your Psi brothers as we celebrate this milestone, and to meet other Zetes from across the globe.
The 2018 convention committee, co-chaired by Tom Roerden ’83 and Alex Pruce ’13, has planned an exciting variety of events to take place during convention week. The convention will commence on Wednesday, August 15, at the downtown Hotel Ithaca. That evening, we will have a dinner boat cruise on Seneca Lake. Thursday features a full day of Leadership training opportunities for Elders and Actives, followed by an evening event on campus. Friday features the Phi Alpha’s Awards Luncheon, and an evening Cornell Chicken BBQ on the lawn of the Psi chapter house. Saturday morning is the annual Grand Chapter Meeting, with plenty of free time in the afternoon for a gorge visit or wine tour with your brothers and families. The convention culminates with the Saturday evening Grand Chapter Banquet, which will be held at the Statler ballroom on campus.
Zeta Psi conventions are family events, so plan to bring yours. Please mark your calendars to spend the third week of August, 2018 in beautiful Ithaca, New York, reliving your time in the Psi chapter house. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for us to showcase the Psi chapter to the rest of the fraternity, and to reunite with Psi classmates and brothers from all eras to commemorate our 150th year of continuous existence as Cornell’s first and foremost fraternity, at the Center of the Known Universe.
We look forward to seeing you there! Please contact us with any questions or for more info.
Yours in Tau Kappa Phi,
